Mission Statement
- The purpose of the Catholic Goan Network (CGN) is to have
a medium of exchange for all that we truly believe in; without
religious bashing, hesitancy or moral trepidation. We strive
to assist one another in our spiritual quest for grace and
salvation.
- Our rights are God-given, and emanate from scriptures
and teachings expounded by Jesus Christ, our Saviour. No
attempts will be made to trample thereon. We seek to perpetuate
the ardent religious spirit and fervor of our forefathers.
- As disciples of Christ through Baptism and Confirmation,
we are destined to be His Ambassadors. Through the Power
of the Holy Spirit, we can cultivate this mission in the
roles of our choice.
- Each of us is gifted, in varying degree, to fulfill our
assigned Mission in Life and it is up to each of us to reach
our fullest potential and maximize our contribution for
His Greater Glory.
- Eliminate divides because of caste, color or place of
origin. Let us strive to be true brothers and sisters to
one another by breaking all such artificial boundaries.
Social and cultural interaction among like Goans is vital
if we are to forge ahead in the new Millennium.
- Share religious experiences, pray with and for one another
through circles of prayer, and exchange information on miraculous
appearances, events and other occurrences.
- Keep abreast of the Church's position on various issues,
canonization's of saints and promote the cause for the elevation
of our own Saints to the Altar of God. BLESSED
FR. JOSEPH VAZ IS THE PATRON OF CGN.
- Charity Begins at Home, and towards this end, we can be
true Instruments of God's Love with spiritual bonding and
camaraderie spirit as did our forebears. Strive to assist
people through social, financial, family life and spiritual
means.
- Each of us has a Mission in Life, and anyone who shares
this philosophy is invited to join the Catholic Goan Network
(CGN) as faithful followers of His Fold; and help spread
these virtues which we hold so dear.
